[…] In 2020, we encountered this problem of flooding. Unfortunately, at that time we had to distribute rice seeds as well as food. I was planning to come to Pursat, but unfortunately at that time there was a case of Covid-19 […] (1) there were damages of different levels from one province to another and from one family to another […] the experience that we have gone through since 2000 and eventually we have been able to evade dangers caused by this flood. That is commendable. We regret that climate change poses a serious problem for our country, and for the region and the world […]
Not all families affected by this kind of natural disaster at the same level. We provide rice seed only for areas that can be rehabilitated. In other areas, (2) we will intervene in a way that deals with other crop varieties, could be short-term crops, or subsidiary crops, so that people can use the land where there are not sufficient water resources to grow long-run crops […] we do not limit rice seeds provision limiting to the area. Small or large land plots, we give each family an equal amount of 100 kg […] some people may have small land. So, they have rice seeds left. The remaining rice seeds can be shared through lending, through sales or through giving to families with larger lands, as some families may need more seeds than what the government provides today […]
Tomorrow, I will return to Phnom Penh to deal with some of the works there […] according to the schedules, we are set discuss and approve the budget law for management of 2023 on the 28th (October 2022). After this, I will travel to Kampong Thom and I will go to Prey Veng province, which is a province that has been severely affected by, and there is a need for national intervention […] I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the philanthropists who have provided (3) rice or funds to contribute to the Royal Government to alleviate the problems of our people. This is called the art or culture of sharing that you can afford to help those in need. Of course, the opposition may say that we are raising money, but this is the kindness of those whose business is prosperous and willing to share with the poor, and they do it through the Royal Government. It is not that the Royal Government has gone bankrupt. However, this valuable participation provides an opportunity for the Royal Government to be able to provide more for our people […]
… I will not forget to express my special thanks to the people of Pursat for voting for the Cambodian People’s Party. The latest Commune/Sangkat election was a landslide victory in Pursat province, in particular, and across the country as a whole. Pursat is a province that (has) a very high support rate for the CPP […] some (4) Pursat people died due to Covid-19. We have lost 3,006 people, which is unfortunate, but we have worked together to solve the problem through the leadership of the CPP-led government, showing clearly our responsibility that we do not any people die of hunger without our knowledge and unresolved or related to Covid-19 disease, without provision of necessary assistance, especially vaccines […]
[…] (we have been hit with) Covid-19 and flood disasters […] causing us hardships. The fact that we are together, we have peace, and we have political stability, we can overcome this difficulty. The land of Pursat already knows the taste of war. We just ended the war in Pursat in 1996. The integrated areas in the Cardamom Mountain, Veal Veng and Thmor Da along the National Road 56 […] become developed areas and there is a trade channel between Cambodia and Thailand at Thmor Da […] which can be considered a gateway […] we must work together to maintain peace, no matter what the cost it may take. We must fight against these peace-destroying groups. Two days ago, they not only insulted me. They insulted HM the King […] I call on our people […] (5) to stand up against the traitors and any party affiliated with this traitor to ensure the protection of the King, defend the throne, defend HM the King, and defend the unity and peace of our land […]
Those who have associated themselves with this traitorous party must break away from this traitor group, otherwise you may suffer various consequences. This is not a threat, but it is true that in a country where traitors cannot be allowed, any party affiliated with the traitor needs to be tried by the courts […] thank you (6) for voting for the CPP, in which the turnout in the whole of Pursat province is up to 93%, a very high rate […] for CPP. Hopefully, the 93% of the votes cast in the last commune election will continue to be cast for the upcoming parliamentary elections […] the opposition and other parties say I am campaigning. What can I say when the people in this province voted for us? When there was an emergency, they only saw the same faces that bring them rice. What can they do to change that since your face was never there and show up only at the votes seeking season […] they would say people of the same faces are in power again and they forget to look at themselves that the opposition are not any different […]
