On January 6, 2026, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the President of the Senate, visited the construction site of the new Senate Palace to observe its progress. The foundation stone for this new building was laid on August 9, 2024. The structure will be four stories tall, with dimensions of 79 meters by 47 meters. It is anticipated that the completion and inauguration of this palace will occur in the near future, under the esteemed presidency of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
