Vietnam, 29 April 2025, in a meeting with H.E. PHAM Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, emphasized the evolving nature of the relationship between Cambodia and Vietnam. He stated that while they had previously relied on each other through military assistance, they now collaborate through economic means, particularly through trade. Samdech Techo Hun Sen highlighted Cambodia’s expertise in cashew nut production, noting that it holds the global record for cashew nut production, while Vietnam excels in processing cashew nuts for export.

On February 10th, at 7 Makara Palace, Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen welcomed Professor Tetsuya Watanabe, President of the ASEAN and East Asia Economic Research Institute (ERIA).
