This evening, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Border Infrastructure Development Fund, which focuses on roads, is receiving enthusiastic participation from the local population. This is a remarkable display of national unity and patriotism, and it is heartening to see the people taking ownership of their country’s development.
In particular, the people of Trapeang Chak village, Kraing Kor village, Kes village, Koul Kom village, Angkor Neap village, Thmor Keo village, Trapeang Russey village, Tram Kak commune, Tram Kak district, Takeo province have made significant contributions, ranging from 300 riels to 20,000 riels. While the monetary value of these contributions may not be substantial, they carry immense symbolic importance, reflecting the patriotic spirit of our citizens.
I have also received reports of similar movements taking place in various parts of the country, which is truly inspiring. I believe that these grassroots initiatives deserve recognition and appreciation, and I hope that the Prime Minister Hun Manet will consider sending letters of thanks to all those who have contributed, regardless of the amount donated. These letters can serve as cherished keepsakes for future generations, embodying the patriotic spirit of their forebears.
