Samdech Techo Hun Sen had a working discussion with László Kövér, Speaker of the National Assmebly of Hungary, who praises rapid development of Cambodia and expressed wish in further strengthening solidarity and friendship between Hungary and Cambodia. Samdech Techo thanks Hungary for assisting Cambodia in the 1980s on human resource training, establishing Cambodia-Hungary Orphan Centre, and hopes to expand cooperation, investment, and trade between the two countries. Samdech Techo wishes to see more Hungarian tourists coming to Cambodia.
On the same day, Samdech Techo received Mr. Jose Ramon Rodriguez Varona, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, who paid a farewell visit as his diplomatic mission to Cambodia terminates. Samdech Techo thanks the Government of Cuba for assistance it provided to Cambodia, scholarships for Cambodian students and service of physicians included. While making efforts to strengthen and expand friendship and cooperation with every country, Cambodia is looking forward to working with Cuba on trade to expedite the country’s development. The Cuban Ambassador gave his remark on how much progress Cambodia has made in economics, infrastructure, and human resource development compared to 25 years ago.
