The Royal Government of Cambodia released here this morning the official letter of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen to his Lao counterpart H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith on the border dispute between the two countries.

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has issued an ultimatum to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to withdraw its troops without condition from the Cambodian territory, not later than Aug. 17, 2017.

Dr. Sok Touch, a well-known independent political analyst, officially took office as the President of the Royal Academy of Cambodia this morning in a ceremony held at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

Japan agreed to study the project to establish automated light sky trains in Phnom Penh to help reduce traffic jams and traffic accidents. It is believed the trains will help attract tourists to Cambodia.
The agreement was made after a request by Prime Minister Hun Sen in a summit with Shinzo Abe, Japan’s prime minister, on Monday afternoon in Japan.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen had a surprise Monday night during his visit to Japan when his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe celebrated his birthday with a cake and song.
Hun Sen posted on Facebook that Abe, during a dinner he hosted in Tokyo, stood up and sang a birthday song while the cake was presented. The Cambodian leader’s birthday is officially recorded as last Friday.
