Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced on Wednesday that he will stop marketing for any political parties or candidates, as his reactions to a political party a few days earlier have made that party more popular and advantageous for them. He also advised other ruling party’s leaders not to react to any parties.
The statement was made in a meeting with approximately 25,000 garment workers from five factories in Kompong Chhnang’s Sameakki Mean Chey district, in central Cambodia.
Some parties tried to attack the CPP just to get reactions so the public will turn their eyes to the case.
“For those who intend to use premier’s name to promote their images, consider using different ways,” stated the premier.
“Do not play trick or whatever strategy with this experienced politician,” he warned.
The premier’s reaction came when Yang Saing Koma, senior official of Grassroots Democratic Party (GDP), compared GDP’s policy with the CPP’s and criticized.
“Do not react with any parties, but promote and defend the CPP’s policies for the upcoming July’s election,” Prime Minister informed his partymen.
Prime Minister wanted the CPP officials to showcase the development of factories, hospitals, pagodas, schools, border demarcation, peace with neighboring countries, and many other developments in Cambodia that the CPP has done so far.
