Addressing to the workers in over 16,000 workers in Kandal province on Wednesday, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen announced that he will hold on the meeting with workers during the election campaign period from July 7 to 27, 2018.
“The campaign’s policy banned from aiding. For example, if I give a package to a pregnant woman, I would be punished by NEC,” the premier said.
Article 142 of Law on the Election of Members of the Legislature states that anyone who corrupts to get a ballot from people in the forms of materials or finance will be fined between $1,250 to $5,000, according to Som Sorida, Deputy Secretary General of NEC.
Prime Minister Hun Sen pledged to continue the meeting with workers in order to solve the problems for them and promote the industry sector in Cambodia.
From August 20, 2017 to May 30, 2018, the premier had met with more than 540,000 workers in 43 times.
