On 10 January 2016, chairing the 39th convention of the fifth term Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party, as President of the Cambodian People’s Party and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Samdech Techo Hun Sen declared suspension of inheritance tax for any inheritance from parents to children, from grandparents to grand children and between spouses. Samdech Techo asserted that such suspension was for removing people’s concerns about tax services when they inherit properties to designated members of their families.
Samdech Techo also shared with the Cambodian people that starting from April 2017, those whose households consume 50 kWh of electricity, or less, will get their bills settled at Riel 610 per kWh. The decision to reduce price of electricity consumption, he hopes, should further assist in improving people’s daily living condition to a certain extent. It is worth recalling that recently and continually Samdech Techo Hun Sen already advised on his Facebook to people to learn to drive properly, to learn and abide by the traffic law, while driving at all times. “When one respects and abides by the traffic law, one respects own life and life of others as well,” he said. Samdech Techo also expressed his gratitude to the Cambodian Red Cross volunteers for taking parts actively in raising people’s awareness on traffic law throughout the country./.
