On 26 October 2015 (pm), at the Elysée Palace, Paris, after recalling with satisfaction of bilateral relations between Cambodia and France from 1993 through to the present, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the Government of France for providing maps for Cambodia for verification recently, and some 406 million Euro in concessional loans through Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD). Samdech Techo expressed wish to double trade size between the two countries, while requesting France to provide technical,financial and human resource assistance to Cambodia to implement its industrial development policy for 2015-2025.The co-chairing role of France in the World Heritage Committee that actively takes part in maintaining and preserving Cambodia’s temple of Angkor Wat has been noted and considered valuable contribution for growth of tourism. Samdech Techo congratulated France in hosting International Conference on Climate Change in December. The French President Francois Hollande affirmed that he would urge French investors to involve in aviation, clean water and urban rail of Cambodia and wished to see Cambodia’s participation in the Climate Change conference. While urging use of French language to further Francophone’s development, Mr. Hollande also accepted a message of HM the King of Cambodia that invites him for a state visit to the Kingdom./.
