Continue Implementing and Experimenting Traffic Law; Build Overpasses and Underpasses at Four More Locations

Inaugurating the 5-January (Techno Junction) overpass and underpass, on 5 January 2016,responding to requests by people through social media on the implementation of the new land traffic law, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sought people’s patience to allow the Royal Government to continue implementing and conducting
more meetings on law implementing experiment to find out shortcomings and required measures. Samdech Techo assured that requests and proposals brought forward by people in Facebook have been brought to the Ministry of Interior’s and police’s consideration and attention. As for the process and fee of issuing a new driver license for operator of motorcycle, Samdech Techo recommended a reduction from 60,000 Riel to only 25,000 Riel, while fee for re validation is to go down from 40,000 Riel to only 20,000 Riel. “I hope that this will help resolve issue and bolster implementation of traffic law” Samdech Techo said.
