Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hun Sen will pay aworking visit to the Republic of Turkey from 20-22 October 2018, at the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Turkey, according to the press release of the Cambodian foreign affairs ministry dated on Wednesday.
Prime Minister will be accompanied Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn, Senior Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol, Minister of Tourism Dr. Thong Khon, as well as several senior governmental officials and business leaders from Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.
In Istanbul, Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Turkey, during which the two Leaders will exchange views with regard to exploring possibilities to further strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation for the mutual benefits of the two peoples and countries.
It is also expected that a number of Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding will be signed regarding cooperation in the areas of culture, education, sport, agriculture, water resources, tourism, investment, and mine action.
During his stay in Istanbul, Prime Minister will pay a courtesy call on H. E. Mr. Binali Yildirim, President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Prime Minister will attend and address the opening ceremony of the Cambodian-Turkish Business Forum to encourage members of Turkish business community to come and invest in Cambodia.
It is worth recalling that Cambodia will establish its Embassy in Ankara in 2019. Both countries are committed to increasing bilateral trade to reach US$500 million in the coming years.
On the sidelines of the visit, Prime Minister will meet with Cambodian students who are studying in Turkey and visit some historical sites.
