Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here yesterday afternoon at the Peace Palace Mr. Anthony Salim, President and Chief Executive Officer of Salim Group, an Indonesia’s biggest conglomerate with different assets.
During the courtesy meeting, Mr. Anthony Salim briefed Samdech Techo Hun Sen on his company’s profile and his investment projects in Cambodia, mainly in the areas of food processing, energy, health, finance, and ecotourism. He also showed his interest in the agro-industry to ensure food supply in the world, especially in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Anthony Salim highly valued peace, political stability and development in Cambodia under the wise leadership of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, which have attracted more and more investors to do business in the Kingdom.
For his part, the Cambodian premier welcomed the Salim Group’s investment plans in Cambodia and encouraged the company to find local partners.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also highlighted some Cambodia’s prioritised sectors including agriculture and tourism.
According to Mr. Anthony Salim, Salim Group currently invests in 12 sectors in 50 countries and employs a total of some 530,000 workers.
