Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, attended this morning in Hanoi, Vietnam the 7th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit and the 8th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit.
The National Television of Kampuchea (TVK) reported that these two regional summits attracted the leaders from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam, as well as the ASEAN secretary-general, a UN deputy secretary-general, and representatives of the Asian Development Bank and business representatives from the CLMV and ACMECS countries.
In his opening speech, H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of Vietnam, highlighted the 10-year achievements in terms of socio-economic development of the member nations, regional economic growth, regional stability etc. under the cooperation of CLMV and ACMECS.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also delivered his keynote address at the opening ceremony of the two summits.
