Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Vietnam reached yesterday afternoon an agreement on Trade Promotion and Facilitation for the Development Triangle Area.
The signing ceremony took place in Siem Reap provincial city under the witness of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Lao Prime Minister H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, and Vietnamese Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, at the 9th Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Summit on the Development Triangle Area.
This agreement was inked by H.E. Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce, H.E. Saleumxay Kommasith, Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Nguyen Chi Dung, Vietnamese Minister of Planning and Investment.
The agreement is aimed to facilitate trade activities and promote investments in the 13 provinces of the CLV Development Triangle Area.
After that, the leaders of the three countries signed the Joint Declaration of the 9th CLV Summit on Development Triangle Area, reaffirming their commitments to develop the area sustainably in order to alleviate poverty and narrow down the economic and social gaps so as to better the living standard of people living in the area.
