In the afternoon of 25 February 2016, presiding over the closing of the annual review and directives setting conference of the Ministry of Interior, Samdech Techo Hun Sen strongly reprimanded the Ministries of Transports, and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries for being irresponsive to resolving problems under their own supervisions. Samdech Techo hinted whether he had to consider a cabinet reshuffle – “I am thinking, maybe I should reshuffle the Cabinet in this year … I cannot leave it like that …”
Relating to providing public services for people, Samdech Techo urged concerned officials in relevant ministries to increase speed proving required services such as issuing them ID cards, family logbook, birth certificate, marriage notification and death certificate, driving license and car number plates, etc. based on three principles – “do for them, do in a speedy manner and with transparency.” Samdech also expressed his wish to make a surprise visit to inspect those places to see whether relevant local institutions have taken actions.
Additionally, Samdech Techo ordered resolutely to find and arrest the truck with overloaded goods caused damage to the Tsubasa Bridge recently and warned about closing down companies behind those misconducts against law of transportation. Noticing that armed robbery and drug trafficking increased recently caused by thieves or drug traffickers just released from jail, Samdech Techo ordered Minister of Justice and Prison Heads to make serious inspection before requesting for release of criminals. Samdech demanded a list of names of criminals enclosed with the files so to inspect them before signing and submitting the release request for approval of HM the King./.
