Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. celebrated here this morning the five years of its operation in the Kingdom under the presidency of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.
At this auspicious occasion, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his appreciation to the company’s progress in the past five years.
Currently, the company employs some 5,000 workers and has decided to invest over US$250 million for the construction of three more plants with a total of 20,000 workers, he added.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen wished the company more growth and highlighted the favorable condition for investment in Cambodia, including the royal government’s decision to provide three-year visa for Japanese businessmen.
Minebea established its first motor manufacturing plant in Cambodia on Dec. 19, 2011 on an area of 100,000 square metres in the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone with a total investment capital of 5 billion Yen (US$62.5 million).
