Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has spoken highly of the in-depth reform conducted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) in enhancing the quality of education for the interests of Cambodia’s long-term development.
The premier made the appreciation while presiding over here this morning the graduation ceremony for 6,251 students of the University for Specialities of Cambodia (CUS).
Cambodia has trained many human resources in the past 37 years, he said, adding, “Even though we have different skills and competencies, we share the common goal of national development.”
Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his congratulations to the newly-graduated students and encouraged them to keep studying as study has no limit, and to catch up with local, regional and global situation.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister also took the opportunity to announce that the minimum monthly salary for teachers will reach 953,500 Riel (almost US$240) in 2017, up from the current 805,000 Riel (about US$200).
