Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, expressed his appreciation to the current progress and achievements in Mondulkiri province, some 520 kilometres northeast of Phnom Penh capital.
During a get-together with the civil servants, armed forces and local authorities at the provincial hall this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen noted the difference of Mondulkiri in the past and at present, and highly valued the infrastructural achievement, especially the National Road No. 76 from Mondulkiri to Rattanakiri province and to Phnom Penh.
At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen gave some recommendations to local authorities for better public services, and encouraged them to continue ensuring peace, safety and social order as well as to promote cooperation with their Vietnamese counterparts in boosting trade and combating cross-border crimes.
The Cambodian premier also appealed to the provincial authorities at all levels to encourage people to register on the new voters’ list for the upcoming commune/Sangkat council election.
