AKP Phnom Penh, June 13, 2016 –
Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has re-affirmed the ruling Cambodian People’s Party’s stance over the current political situation.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony of the Royal University of Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said CPP will not negotiate any issues that are not under its jurisdiction, especially those related to the judicial procedure, underlining that CPP has no right to interfere in the judicial affairs.
CPP is a political organisation that has been leading the country, but CPP fully respects the legislative, executive and the judicial bodies, he added.
“There will be no negotiation between the two parties (CPP and the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party) […]. If there is, no issue under the court’s jurisdiction will be discussed,” stressed the premier.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen also called on some foreign experts to check the facts before making some comments on Cambodia’s current issue.
In addition, the prime minister warned the opposition party over its threat to hold a protest. “Some issues are about sex scandal. It should be solved at the court, but instead there is a call for a demonstration,” he said. “There will be no tolerance. The competent authorities have to maintain security and social order”./.
