In the afternoon of 23 March, Samdech Techo Hun Sen conducted bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier HE Li Keqiang to strengthen the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership. Samdech Techo suggested the Chinese friend to expedite approvals of projects to build the Morodok Techo stadium and three hospitals as well as Phnom Penh-Preah Sihanouk province railway express and an airport in Siem Reap province. Samdech Techo hopes strongly that trade volume between the two countries will increase to 5 billion US dollars in the near future, while seeking the Chinese side to allow wider import of agricultural products, rice included, from Cambodia to China.
Premier Li from his side expressed supports to every proposals and affirmed that China will speed up approvals to start constructions as soon as it takes, while promising to gather Chinese investors to do business and to assemble hi-tech factories in Cambodia. This should enable Cambodia to produce international standard products for export to China and other countries in the world. In the same meeting, the Chinese premier reaffirmed Chinese satisfaction in assisting Cambodia to conserve and repair the Preah Vihear temple./.
