Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia, Prime Minister Hun Sen, urged Sihanoukville authority to combat all crimes in response to critics from people of all walks of lives, addressing at the official opening of 7th Sea Festival in Koh Kong province on Saturday under the slogan “Ecotourism for Green Growth and Sustainable Development”.
“I don’t care if they are RCAF or not. If they violated the laws, the shall be obstructed,” the premier stated.
Sihanoukville shall try harder than other provinces to promote the prestige and honour of the province, starting from building and strengthening all the required infrastructure, including but not limited to airports, roads, clean water, electricity, accommodations, hospitals as part of tourism policy, he said.
Prime Minister also appealed for combating drugs along the coast, most importantly countering terrorism.
“We must ensure that our coast is not a shelter of drug, and that we shall obstruct terrorists who escape from land and hide at our sea,” the premier stated.
A few years ago, Cambodia deported a Russian criminal who was hiding in Sihanoukville under the excuse of investment, according to Prime Minister.
