Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said that Cambodian People’s Party (CPP)’s order 20th on ballot paper coincided with the 20th anniversary of the end of Cambodian war, speaking at the dinner with 4,750 Khmer-Islamic at Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center on Tuesday evening,
“CPP’s order 20th coincided the 20th anniversary of ending we in Cambodia, a historical event which had never happened in the past 500 years. From the country of many military administrations and armed forces to the country with a single military administration, one King, one government, one constitution and one armed force in 1998,” stated the premier.
Cambodia’s past conflicts have been the lessons and experience for Cambodia to unite and maintain peace, he added.
The drawing lots ceremony, organized by National Election Committee (NEC) to determine the order of the 20 registered political parties, officially finished on Tuesday at the Ministry of Interior.
The four parties that are currently representing in the National Assembly include Cambodian People’s Party which is ordered 20 on the ballot paper, FUNCINPEC Party 13, Cambodian Nationality Party 4, and Khmer Economic Development Party 14.
