Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia Hun Sen expressed pride in leading Cambodia during these 33 years to success and that no citizens suffered from wars.
His remark was made on Monday morning during co-presiding with Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia Hidehisa Horinouchi over the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the construction of National Road No. 5, with the length of 135 km, from Prek Kdam-Kandal to Thlea Ma’am-Pursat under a grant from the Government of Japan.
“This driver [Prime Minister Hun Sen] has drove this car [Cambodia] for almost 40 years,” said the premier.
“Over the past 33 years as a Prime Minister, this driver has successfully brought people from danger to the safety zone”, he added.
Prime Minister hopes that Cambodian citizens will continue to contribute to maintaining peace by voting for him.
Some said having the driver with only one eye is dangerous, but this single-eye driver has never put the passengers into any dangers, the premier stressed.
He reminded everyone of the value of peace and development that Cambodia enjoys, and announced that he will be Prime Minister to lead Cambodia for 10 more years.
“Without peace, never mention democracy and human rights, and that no developments prevails in a country at war,” said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
