Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia held talks with newly appointed Ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü, at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this morning.
According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Premier, in the courtesy meeting, the new Turkish diplomat conveyed greetings from the President and Prime Minister of Turkey to Samdech Techo Hun Sen and pledged to do her best to further deepen the two countries’ relationship.
H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü also promised to encourage more Turkish investors to do business in Cambodia and to promote the tourism cooperation through the establishment of direct flight between both nations.
For his part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the Turkish leaders for their greetings and congratulated H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü on her new appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cambodia.
Despite the distance, Cambodia and Turkey have close relations, underlined the Prime Minister, expressing Cambodia’s intention to boost its cooperation with the Turkish side in all domains.
Regarding the direct flight between the two countries, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said it will strengthen their relations in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and tourism, especially the people-to-people connectivity.
