Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia and South Korean Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Oh Nak-young inaugurated here this morning the Cambodia-Korea Friendship Building in the compound of the National Pediatric Hospital.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen spoke highly of the good relations between Cambodia and the Republic of Korea and expressed his profound thanks to the South Korean government and people for their support to Cambodia in various fields, especially human resource training, health, road and irrigation construction. He also wished to have a river crossing bridge symbolising the friendship between both nations.
For his part, the South Korean ambassador said with the inaugurated building, children will have access to medical care and treatment in a clean and safe environment. According to H.E. Oh Nak-young, the building, which houses the Pediatric Medical Centre, is part of a grant aid project of the Korean Government for the 2013-2018 period worth in total US$7.28 million.
The three-floor Cambodia-Korea Friendship Building of 63 metres long and 26 metres wide was first inaugurated on Jan 22, 2007. Then it was renovated, equipped with high-tech equipment and put into official use today.
